He was upon the way of his forefathers, Ibrahīm, Isḥāq and Yaʿqūb (ʿalayhimus-salām) in establishing and calling to Islām and Tawḥīd. He was not the founder of any religion called “Judaism” as neither he, nor his forefathers identified their religion by such as narrow, restricted label, which came many long centuries after them and which represents a distorted (muḥarraf ), altered (mubaddal) religion whose form and character has never ceased to change over the centuries.
