From the most evident of signs to the People of the Book and in particular the Jewsthat the Qurʾān is indeed revealed by Allāh, the Lord of Ibrāhīm and Mūsā (ʿalayhis salām), is that it commanded Muḥammad (ṣallallāhu ʿalayhi wasallam) to make the qiblah (direction) of prayer towards the Kaʿbah in the Ḥaram of Makkah.
